Cemetery Trustees

Members Present: Ruth Hammen, Paul Sanborn, Fred Shaw
Budget: The Trustees have prepared and turned in the 2015 budget. Since the increase was so small, the Town Administrator excused the Trustees from the initial budget hearing.
Request For Funds: The Trustees have determined the cost per grave in each cemetery for maintenance during 2014 and have submitted this to the Trustees of the Trust for reimbursement to the town from interest earned from established trusts on cemetery lots.
Cemetery Maintenance: Trustees reviewed the submissions for cemetery maintenance for 2015. Giving careful consideration to cost and quality of service, the Trustees decided to continue with their current provider, Steve’s Quality Services.
Brown Cemetery: The walls at this cemetery need to be repaired. The Trustees are considering putting in a warrant for the town to repair the walls at a cost of $5000.
Fellows/Webster Cemetery: This cemetery has had no attention from Trustees for several years. A neighbor had removed several headstones many years ago so it appears few are actually buried there. Trustees plan to visit this cemetery in the spring to mark the boundaries.
Lots: No lots have been sold in either public cemetery in 2014.
Trust: Blaze Konefal attended the meeting to discuss a couple of Trusts.
